Hosting & Support

For longer term maintenance and support, monthly plans start at $80. That covers two prepaid hours per month with unused hours rolling over into subsequent months. There are two advantages of going this route.

The hourly rate is my lowest ($40) and it’s locked in for the contract duration.
You can specify regular maintenance that I will perform and report to you on a monthly invoice. For example, I can run updates, backups, check for broken links, report on traffic performance, or any number of other tasks. If you’re not sure what you need, we can discuss it together.

By keeping me on a monthly retainer, this gives you greater peace of mind that your website will remain as healthy as possible.

For limited work that’s not part of a support plan, we will discuss the scope and assign a fixed price that works for your budget. Projects are priced around a rough hourly rate of $50. I usually only charge hourly if the project scope isn’t entirely clear from the beginning. When the scope is clear, it’s generally better to set a flat fee for the project so you know exactly what to expect.

I host Wordpress and hand-coded websites on a shared server to keep costs down for clients with relatively basic content. Prices start at $75/year. This is essentially a break/fix model where your ongoing costs are low, but if there’s an unexpected issue, my hourly rate is $50.

Migrating your website to my server is a one-time service package that will be priced according to the scope.
